At the Storey Gallery event Totally Wired will be showing Ingrid Christie's film "Meta Phase" which was a success at this year's Edinburgh Festival, where it was shown in the Summerhall Gallery from 4th - 29th August 2011.
Ingrid Christie graduated from The University of Central Lancashire with first class honours in Fine Art. Prior to that she completed two years of a science degree, also with first class grades including a 100% grade in mathematics. A mix of these two areas of study is often evident in her work.
Ingrid keeps abreast of the latest genetic research and is interested in how this is defining our perception of human nature and identity. She playfully works with nature, found materials, photography and appropriated images to produce unusual, thought-provoking and often disturbing images relating to our identity.
